Therese McAllister is a highly accomplished draughtswoman whose use of colour and meticulous attention to detail is evident in her still life works in particular. Having trained at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin from 1972 to 1974, McAllister later travelled to Florence where she studied under the renowned Italian artist Nerina Simi, whose students have included Niccolo d'Ardia Carraciolo RHA and Peter Curling. McAllister is currently living and working in Dublin.
